The limits of my language means the limits of my world.
English
Language in all its forms is the key to lifelong learning. In Te Whare Toi Kupu – Lytton’s English Faculty – we design programmes to help learners achieve this aim. From Media Studies to Its a Novel Idea, Zero to Hero to TuranganuiA-Kiwa, we have a different Year 9 course to build your language skills each term. Use and grow these skills at Year 10 to be prepared the best you can for the demands of the senior curriculum.
Language development goes hand in hand with thinking – and that is the challenge thrown out to all senior students at Lytton: to become more critical thinkers able to articulate their thoughts – about things that really matter in the world. Choose from semester or year-long courses, examination or internally assessed – wherever your future lies, we have a course to help you get there.
